Scope of the Job:
This regional position, reports to the Director of Sales. Your basic role and mission as Regional Manager will be to modestly grow the business in the assigned region and drive year over year revenue growth. The successful candidate will have superior planning, prioritizing, and goal setting skills. One must have a strong commitment to task and an excellent ability to manage long-term relationships.
Candidates must have previous management experience, preferably within the dental or related industry. You will be responsible for 8 – 10 direct reports in the assigned region. Position requires proven account management experience leading to required sales results. Must be proficient with standard Office software.
Responsible for personnel matters, including training, development, discipline, safety programs and policies for direct reports.
Responsible for the full scope of a staff function.
Responsible for managing costs and performance against performance goals and objectives and prepares and submits reports to upper management to inform them of performance.
Coordinates and integrates with other areas to ensure support in attaining goals.
Leads the planning, development and implementation of new methods and procedures designed to improve unit performance, minimize operating costs, and effect greater utilization of labor and materials.
The Regional Manager is responsible for the generation of maximum sales growth within their assigned region through effective personnel and account management.
Create action plans that communicate Sales Management strategy and objectives to their Field Sales team and work to optimize sales results within the assigned region.
Position is responsible for identifying, implementing and monitoring budget and productivity measures reflective of the sales organization’s performance (i.e. sell-through) within the assigned region.
Analyze, manage and interpret sell-through data for the assigned area to confirm that the Company’s sales results are representative of the market performance.
Position is responsible for creating and monitoring effective training and development plans in an effort to create a Field Sales team capable of meeting sales objectives within the assigned region.
Maintain and comply with company policies and procedures as they apply to the position (ie. Scrap processing, money laundering, Code of Conduct, etc). Maintain proprietary information securely.
Assist in developing, executing, and recommending changes to the Company’s sales policies and procedures including the Company’s annual promotional/trade programs.
We seek a sales professional with a minimum of 7+ years of sales and sales management experience preferably within the dental or medical device industry.
Demonstrated ability to successfully manage a large geographical region, including proficient business travel and resourcefulness.
Bachelor’s Degree required.
