Scope of the Job: This new position based in Birmingham, AL reports to the Chief Business Development Officer. The primary responsibility will be to provide the overall leadership and guidance necessary to run an automated long-term care pharmacy. The incumbent will build a world-class pharmacy operation ensuring professional pharmaceutical care to more than 4000 patients daily. You will have accountability for the financial performance; staff development, quality and customer satisfaction. We seek a Pharmacy General Manager with a proven track record of success building and leading a world-class automated dispensing pharmacy business dedicated to superior customer service.
You will be expected to: 1. Take ownership and accountability for the achievement of all pharmacy branch goals. 2. Manage the day-to-day operations of the long-term care pharmacy. 3. Work with pharmacy staff to develop the expectation and measurements to maintain operational standards. 4. Motivate and challenge staff to complete job consistently with accuracy and speed. 5. Achieve all financial, service and quality goals. 6. Oversee pharmacy prescription process flow, purchasing, contracts, packaging/pre-packing procedures, inventory management, accounts payable/receivables, collections and reconciliations. Candidate Requirements: 1. We seek a Pharmacy General Manager with a proven track record of success building and leading world class pharmacy organizations dedicated to superior customer service. 2. We seek a pharmacy professional with a Bachelor of Science, Pharmacy degree, 2 years of long term care pharmacy experience and a minimum of five years of management experience. An MBA is highly desirable. 3. For the best fit, you must be a team player and an effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills capable of developing strong relationships with colleagues and customers.
